Founded in 2015 by adventure enthusiasts Eric Miller and Paul Bulger in Nederland, CO. TOURIG has grown from a humble workshop into a state-of-the-art facility in Golden, Colorado.

How it all started
The TOURIG Story:
From "Big Red" to Big Dreams
TOURIG’s story began in 2001, though no one realized it at the time. The seeds were planted when Eric Miller and his business partner commissioned their first adventure vehicle, affectionately named “Big Red.” Part mobile office, part hotel room, part base-camp, Big Red wasn’t just a vehicle—it was a game-changer.
As sales agents in the Outdoor Industry, Eric and his fur-covered travel companion found the grind of endless flights and unfamiliar hotel rooms uninspiring. Big Red provided freedom, comfort, and a sense of home on the road. Its success led to the creation of a second rig, “Black Beauty,” born in 2002. This Ford E350 camper van was a testament to the undeniable benefits of life on four wheels.
Fast forward to 2014. Eric, now older and wiser, felt the call for something more capable, modern, and adventure-ready. With a renewed entrepreneurial spirit and a clear vision, the concept for modern-day TOURIG was born.

In 2015, Eric reconnected with Paul Bulger, an old friend whose extensive maritime background brought precision, discipline, and invaluable expertise to the venture. Together, they laid the foundation for TOURIG—not just as a brand, but as a community dedicated to adventure, craftsmanship, and unparalleled quality.
The first-generation TOURIG camper vans came to life in what became known as “The Shed in Ned.” This humble workshop in Nederland, Colorado came with cold winds slicing through walls, snow trickling through the roof, and a few curious mice making guest appearances. But in those rugged beginnings, a vision was forged—a commitment to building vehicles that could withstand any condition and take their owners anywhere.
In 2016, TOURIG transitioned to its current home in Golden, Colorado, where every camper van is crafted with the same passion and purpose that sparked Big Red’s first engine roar.

As TOURIG's reputation for quality and craftsmanship grew, so did the demand. In 2022, TOURIG launched its dedicated, state-of-the-art camper van service center. With a specialized team and purpose-built space, the TOURIG service center is designed to provide expert service, maintenance, and installations for camper vans of all kinds.
